April Favourites 2015

Anotner month is coming to a close, (how the time flies), and you know what that means… It is time for my second monthy favourites post: April 2015! I am super excited to share this stuff with you guys and I hope you enjoy it!! Let’s get started!!!

Favourite App: Spotify

I recently discovered this app through a friend this month and I can’t even begin to tell you how much I love it. It is basically a free music app, which is basically, I like to think, the apple itunes and music app rolled into one, but free and cooler!!! And guess what, the app is free too!!! I highly recommend you try it. Trust me.

Favourite Song: Only Love by Ben Howard

Because I told you about spotify, I need to tell you about some of the new, awesome artists and songs I have discovered because of it. Only Love by Ben Howard is very soulful, awesome, calming, and beautiful and I absolutely love it. I have been listening to it non stop the past little while. Listen to it here: http://youtu.be/OWlKZ6C7cDY.

Favourite Treat: Starbucks Lemon Loaf

This lemon loaf is to die for it. It is moist, a perfect balance between sweet and that tangy lemon and the icing… Just perfection. The best thing ever. The next time you are at starbucks, get one of these. You will not regret it.

Favourite Clothing Item: My big cardigan/sweater

I love this sweater just because it goes with everything, it is loose, comfy and perfect for the weather we are having right now.

Favourite Pastime: my School Lockdown

You may be thinking, “oh my gosh, there was a lockdown at your school what happened?” I assure you nothing happened it was just a drill because we have to have those at least twice a year I think. Anyways when The lockdown happened we did the stuff that we usually do.: shut the lights, hide at the back of the classroom, and because it was a drill, you were supposed to wait till a police officer and one of the principles comes by in a lock the door and relieves the class. Well for our class, that never happened. The next thing we knew there was an announcement over the PA saying that the lockdown is over and that it was successful and whatever. I was shocked because they never came to get us. They just walked on by our class. Why is this my favourite pastime you say? Because the next day, one of our principal’s came in with two boxes of Tim Hortons donuts, apologized for leaving us in our class, and gave us donuts as a peace offering. That’s why. And it was good.

So that’s it folks! Those are all my april 2015 favourites! Hope you enjoyed this and please lemme know in the comments what some of your favourite products and moments are from this past month, I would love to hear them. Also, if you have sny other questions or comments, don’t be afraid to put those in the comments as well. Thanks again!

Hope you enjoyed this little bit of life.

So, so I was thinking, I have read SO many different books and series over the years, some of which are my favourites and that I still love to this day. Considering that I only started this blog like almost 2 months ago now, (wow, time flies) there are so many good books that I read that you guys don’t know about cause I never would’ve reviewed them or anything. So, I thought, why not do a quick book shelf tour to let you know quickly some books and series that I have read in the past!

I will warn you now, my real-life book shelf is quite tiny, mostly because I don’t buy books as often as I would like. (Cause i’m broke. #thestruggle) also, I have my ipad so most of my books are ebooks and I have quite a bit of those! So, maybe sometime in the future I will probably do a ebook shelf tour to let you know about those books as well!

I will start off by showing you pictures of my book shelf, then starting from the top left, i will name what book, what series it is from, give it my rating and maybe a few words about whether I liked it or not. You can click on the titles of the book, to find out what it is about etc from goodreads. But for now, here is my real-life book shelf tour!!!!!

Starting on the left:

1 – The Secret Circle Books #1-2, The Secret Circle Series, by L.J Smith. Rating: 92% or 4.5 stars. Super great read, based off the super great tv show. Witches and romance.

2 – The Secert Circle Books #3-4, The Secret Circle Series, by L.J Smith. Rating: 95% or 4.5 stars. Also, super great. Love the series and l.j smith alot.

3 – Fallen by Lauren Kate, Fallen Series. Rating: 80% or 3.5/5 stars.

4 – Haunting Violet by Alyxandra Harvey. Rating: 89% or 3.9 stars out of 5. It has been awhile but I remember it being quite good.

5 – Divergent by Veronica Roth, Divergent Trilogy. Rating: 97% or 4.7/5 stars. This is my favourite book out of the whole series. The 3rd book ruined me.

6 – Legend + Champion (Books #1 and 3 of Legend Trilogy) by Marie Lu. Rating: 85% and 90%. Loved the series when I read it, characters and story is quite great.

7 – Eleanor & Park by Rainbow Rowell. Rating: 95% or 4.5 stars. Such beauty. Love the story, despise the ending. Very cute.

8 – The One, Book 3 in the Selection Trilogy, by Kiera Cass. Rating: 75% or 3.4 stars. Good books, but main character can be annoying at times. Book 3 is my favourite.

9 – The Fault In Our Stars, By John Green. Rating: 210% or 5.5 million stars. There are no words to describe this book and how much I adore it. Just read it.

10 – Starstruck + Infamous (books 2 +3 in the Fame Game trilogy) by Lauren Conrad. Rating: 95% or 4.5 stars. Yes, lauren conrad writes ya novels. And yes, they are quite good and well written as well.

Sorry for the bad picture, my book shelf is just in a bad place and it is hard to take a picture of the second shelf. Starting on the left..

2 – The Fifth Wave, Book 1 in the 5th Wave Trilogy, by Rick Yancey. Rating: 97% or 4.8 stars. The whole concept is so intriguing and Rick Yancey’s writing is the bomb.com. Love it alot and cannot wait for the movie.

3 – Clockwork Princess, 3rd book in the infernal devices trilogy, by Cassandra Clare. Rating: 99% or 4.9 stars. I like this series so much better than the mortal instruments. I love it and it is totally worth your time.

4 – Chicken Soup for the Christian Soul by Various Authours. I have never actually read it so I can’t give it a real rating. It was one of those books you get as a gift drom someonelse and never read. It just sits on your shelf.

My Spring Favourites!!

So I hope y’all have had a great week so far, and that wherever you are the weather is beautiful and you are enjoying it. I know here in Canada, the sun has been shining and it has been warm outside and you know what that means…. SPRING IS HERE! Spring is one of my favourite seasons because I despise cold weather and snow but one of the things I love the most about spring time are all the nice spring clothes you can wear! So in this post, I am going to talk about some of my spring essentials/favourites and some new spring/summer stuff I have just bought and I can not wait to share it all with you!!

#1 – Ripped Jeans

These are my pair of white, ripped jeans, I have had them for a little less than 2 years now and I absolutely love them. They are to this day one of my favorite pair of jeans. I love them because they are comfortable and go with pretty much everything. This is mostly because they are white and white is the color that goes with everything but a pair of blue or dark wash jeans are just as awesome and versatile. They are very Springy and highly recommend a pair. I got these at Target.

#2: Colored keds of sneakers

The other day I bought a pair sneakers like the ones above from H&M and they look a lot like keds or those type of sneakers. Mine are red but this is just a picture I found from the Internet. You can get these at a lot of different places in a lot of different colors or patterns. Again, they are very versatile, casual and great with jeans (and ripped ones) I just think they are perfect for spring and worth spending your money on!!

#3 – A Denim Skirt

This skirt looks like denim, but is it not actually denim . Material is actually very soft and the skirt itself is very flowyand looks really nice on. I love skirts during the spring time I feel that they are very cute and you could wear them with basically anything and make it casual or more formal. I got this one from garage and I know they have lots of skirts at this time of year in different colors and patterns that are very spring like.

#4 – Sunglasses

So you can’t enjoy The beautiful spring and summer sun if you don’t have a good pair of sunglasses. I just bought these the other day at H&M and I just had to add them in because sunglasses are a great accessory and necessity to spring and summer outifits. You can basically get sunglasses anywhere at any store at your local mall but make sure that you find a pair that you like and that will go with most outfits that can last you all summer long!!

Well that’s it folks!!! I hope you enjoyed this post about all my spring and summer favourites that I am currently loving and enjoying right now and hope it is warm where you are! Will you get or try any of these products? What are your summer and spring essentiels/favourites?? I would love to hear your answers to that in the comments as well as any other questions or comments you may have and whether you enjoyed and would like to see more posts like this!! Thanks for reading!

Hope you enjoyed this little bit of life.

It’s a Beautiful Day #52
