So, I wanted to quick post something and share something I litterally just learned from reading my bible today. It is something that I think everyone can relate to and really touches on something that is a really big deal in today’s everyday life and society. That is beauty, what we wear, jewelerey and basically all our otward appearances.
In today’s society, something is always ‘in’ or ‘out’ of style. There is always a new trend or something that is really popular at the time. It is constantly changing and an ever growing need in our society to follow these trends and fit it with what other people are wearing. I’m not going to lie: I like clothes. I like wearing accessories. I like constructing awesome outfits that I feel confident and happy wearing. And shoes.
But 1 Timothy 2:9-10 says, that as women, we shouldn’t be wearing fancy clothes or anything showy. That we shouldn’t worry oursleves over out outward appearances. But it also says instead, we should be setting on our sights on how we use what is on the inside: God’s love, healing, spirit and the own good in us, to make a difference in the lives around us.
I am here to tell you that it does not matter what is on the outside, even though you have probably heard this before. It does not matter what clothes are ‘in’ or ‘out’ or whether or not you are wearing them. Or fitting in. Those things are all passing and forever changing. But God does not change, he does not pass us by or fail. No matter what. He is what is on the inside. Our hearts and spirits. He made us inside and out in his image and that is the stuff that matters. The stuff on the inside is what is true, good. That is the stuff that you should be focusing on fixing and making better. Not your style or closet.
You are great. You are beautiful. No matter what you wear or how you dress. You are perfect just the way you are.
Thanks for reading! I hope this makes senses and maybe touched someone out there! Do you have any other questions or comments about this? If so, leave them in the comments below, I love reading all your comments and am super happy to answer your questions!
Hope you enjoy this little bit of life.
