Hey Everybody! Welcome to Day 2 of Christmas with A Little Bit of Life!! If you are just tuning into my blog now, basically for the next two weeks, I have committed to doing a post on this blog EVERY SINGLE DAY through Christmas and the New Year! You can check out yesterday’s post about Christmas Movies here. But today, I will be talking about a chapter of the bible I read the other day: Romans 8.
Over these two weeks, I really wanted to touch on the “Faith Life” part of A Little Bit of Life, at least once and the other day I was lead to this Chapter and learned alot from it so I thought: Why not share my favourite verses and thoughts about this Chapter with you guys? So here we are! Let’s do it!
My 5 Favourite Verses:
8:37: “No, in all these things we are more than conquerers through him who loved us.”
8:28: “And we know that in all things, God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”
8:1-2: “Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death.
8:16: “The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children.”
8:32: “He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all – how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?”
The main theme of this Chapter that I found was God’s love and the things that we were given through the love that was given to us through Jesus’ death. A death that was set in motion even as Jesus was first born on Christmas Day. Because of this we have so much to be thankful and grateful for this Christmas, no matter what we are going through or dealing with this time of year.
No matter what you are dealing with you can be thankful because He, in all things, works for the good of those who love him. Even if something seems so horrible and incomprehensible now, it’s for the good of those who love him, who have such a wonderful purpose in him. He has a plan for you, in every situation. And because of this great love that Paul talks about in this chapter, we know that no matter what we are facing, we are MORE than conquerors. We are set free.
Let that sink in for a moment: We are MORE than CONQUERORS. We can more than conquer the things we are facing, we can defeat them. Because, he loved us, and still loves us, today.
Have hope today and be grateful for all that you have this Christmas. Because no matter what is going on in your life, YOU. CAN. DO. IT. YOU are MORE THAN a conqueror. And you are so loved, by someone who has given you such a everlasting gift that was given to us, one Christmas, so long ago.
Thank you for reading! I hope you enjoyed this post, the message in it, and that it resonated with you in some way. If you have any questions, comments or just want to share how this resonated with you, or a verse you liked from this chapter, I would love to hear it in the comments below! If you guys have anything in mind that you’d like to read from me over the next 12 days of Christmas with A Little Bit of Life, lemme know in the comments as well! Thanks again!
Hope you enjoyed this little bit of life.
